You don’t need to worry. There are plenty of landscaping ideas shared by expert gardeners Eastern Suburbs Sydney like Amico which are cost-effective and practical and will make the job easy for you.

1. Make a List of Your Needs

Visualise your garden and write down its features. You can imagine many features like a play area for your kids, a vegetable section, a patio, fire pit, a water feature, a swimming pool, a sitting area and more.

Create a few very rough sketches of your yard regarding where you want to place the various features. Remember that these are not final plans.

Just a few lines and circles will give you an idea of how you can place things and it won’t even take much of your time.

2. Consider the Sun and Wind

Your garden will obviously be a relaxing place for you and your guests. You don’t want yourself sitting under the scorching sun or without a breeze.

Hence studying the patterns of the sun and wind is very important.

Choose a corner to create a sitting area where there will be plenty of shade and wind whistling around, whereas a corner in which there is not much of wind can be chosen for a fire pit.

This will need you to give some time to observe what the sun and wind do at various times of the day and year.

3. Let Yourself Live with it

Before implementing your ideas, give some time to just imagine it how you will feel in the ambience you’ll create. Quick conclusions may bring choices that won’t work in the long run.

It may also happen that certain areas in your garden will be pretty inviting and you wouldn’t have thought of them to be so.

4. Start with Small

You might have watched home and garden shows in which they do complete makeovers in as less as three days. But remember that there are 60-70 people working for the project.

Well, you too can enjoy many people working for your landscapes if you take help of Amico’s landscape gardeners Sydney and they’ll complete the job within a few days.

But when you are working alone or with your family, slowly building a plan and working on it is a good idea.

For example, take a look at your plan and start with a small flowerbed. Give just an hour or two every day for the work as you find time. Don’t get stressed up with a thought of doing everything right away.

Get yourself some time to check how things work. Going slow is a key to doing everything as per your vision whereas if you’ll try to hurry up things, you are likely to take shortcuts and be too messy and exhausted to get the desired end result.

5. Work on One or More Focal Points

Any charming garden has one or more focal points and when you are newly developing your garden, it’s easy to work around them. It may include a stunning tree, a group of flowering shrubs or even a huge boulder.

6. Work on Dimensions

Your garden will have a variety of sizes, shapes and colours. There would be tall plants on the background of a flowerbed, a path leading to a fountain or a mound with a rock garden.

Some elements can be repeated like a common colour, a certain plant or even a shape, so as to create a sense of organization.

But also take care to avoid monotony; so, consider adding an element that will stand out.

These practical ideas will help you get clear thoughts and work on them easily to have a beautifully landscaped garden.
